With high school buildings nearly 100 years old and a popular, growing alternative school housed in portables, Port Townsend School District’s need for modern, seismic resilient buildings was well known. What was not known was whether the community would support a bond to replace some historic high school buildings and remodel others. We worked with Port Townsend for nine months to help communicate the plan and gain community buy-in. Voter support was loud and clear with a 70.38% approval of the bond–the highest of any bond measure in the February 2026 election in the state.
